- Comments
- Very rare but historically important recordings. This disc contains two of the four songs recorded by Danny Barker in 1953 which are early examples of commercially recorded music of the Mardi Gras Indians. Similar Indian chants can be found in more popular songs from New Orleans including 'Jock-A-Mo" and "Iko Iko."
