Album contains performances by two of Villanova University's musical groups. Side One contains performances by The Spires, a choral glee club ensemble, which included Jim Croce. Side Two contains performances by The Villanovans, a dance/swing band with full instrumentation.

This album's main historical importance was for the inclusion of Jim Croce on The Spires' seven performances. Two of those were re-released on Croce's 1975 posthumous compilation, The Faces I've Been, "This Land Is Your Land" and "Greenback Dollar". Of importance as well, The Spires were led by Tom Picardo who went on to become known as Tommy West.
