- Early in 1970, an American producer named Charlie Dreyer saw Nektar performing in Hamburg and invited the band to record in his studio in Boston. The resulting demo has been much sought after since it reveals the genesis of the group's development. This reissue of the 1972 album includes the previously unreleased Boston Tapes on a bonus disc entitled "In the Beginning".
