Who knows who sang this song in the opera "La gioconda" by Ponchielli in 1876?

For me it's unclear who exectly sung "Danza delle ore" (Dance of the hours), but this was the maincast at the premiere.

disguised as a Dalmatian seaman tenor Julián Gayarre

Barnaba, spy of the Inquisition baritone Gottardo Aldighieri

Alvise Badoero,

one of the leaders of the Inquisition,

Laura's husband bass Ormondo Maini

A singer bass Giovanni Battista Cornago

I think there was no singer involved in the premiere of "Danza Delle Oro".

It was more of a ballet at the end of Act 3 of La Gioconda

So the most logical performer(s) would be:

Orchestra conducted by Franco Faccio

A question, as old as SHS itself, answered. Smile
