I was recently listening to a local radio station that was playing a few relatively unknown topic songs and the song "Dreams" famous by Molly Hatchet was actually written and recorded by a Buddy Miles or Buddy Mize...

They played the song and it was almost identical to Molly Hatchet's version...

They also went on to say that this guy wrote many of these songs while in prison...another interesting tidbit...

I can't seem to find these originals anywhere though...???

Any ideas?

Hi, it may come from The Game (50Cent's group) "Dreams". Does the song contained samples of the original ? and was it a hiphop rythm ?

Dreams by Buddy Miles is from his album Them Changes released by Polydor in either late 1969 or early 1970. Although the song is listed as an original by Miles, it is actually a composite of 3 songs: his own, the Allman Brothers Band's Dreams from their 1969 debut album, and Otis Redding's I've Got Dreams to Remember released after his death in 1968.
