Composers to have recorded different versions of their song

I have always particularly enjoyed hearing the original or the writers versions of songs,i can see that there are some examples where two of the composers have produced different versions.I would love to have some other examples


Albert Hammond has recorded Careless Heart which was also recorded by one of the other writers Roy Orbison other entries on his recent Legend II CD were The Snows of New York which he wrote with Chris de Burgh and the Carpenters song .I Need to Be in Love


Another example I can identify is Sometimes When We Touch which has been recorded by both Dan Hill and Barry Mann.


Although not on the database I think Tom Robinson and Elton John both did versions of Never Gonna Fall In Love and Sartorial Eloquence.


Also Bruce Springsteen wrote Because the Night which became a hit for Patti Smith with reworked lyrics written by Patti.
