Unless you come from Mars (pun intended), you must have heard about David Bowie's death yesterday. Here at SecondHandSongs we organize a poll in honour of this legendary artist: Which was his best cover?

Consult the list of David Bowie 's 67 covers and start rating. By the end of the week we'll publish the chart with his best covers.

Bowie's performances of his own works surely reflect his genius better than (most of) the covers he recorded. It may therefore have been even more interesting to see a list of the best rated cover versions of his songs (910 versions of 136 songs).

But maybe we should save that question for the day Mr. Zimmerman leaves us behind, as some of his most underrated originals proved their magnitude when recorded by others...? Welcome to (as per today) 3140 versions of 276 songs...

As a huge Paul Williams fan, the only cover I have listened to David Bowe perform is "Fill Your Heart" which Paul Williams wrote with Biff Rose, and never released his demo. Biff Rose did record, and release the song, and I love, and prefer the original. I hope Paul Williams releases his demo of it, and records it someday.
