I've run into this issue several times, namely that the "Artist Info" field (when submitting for an artist not yet on site) rejects the link. I suspect it is due to accented letters. The example that triggered this post is below. The links attempted are the discogs and wiki pages:
Yeah, something is going on when I try to use some links. I just tried to provide a more detailed post in this thread regarding another example (the submission below), but the discogs link caused the site to hang (blue spinning circle):

This discogs link was rejected for the Artist Info field, but I was able to place in the body of the submission. When I tried to put that same link in this post, the site hung.
I couldn't enter:

As one can see, I could put the link in the body of that and this post.

I can't edit that field after the cover has been submitted. Moreover, regular users should be able to cut/paste links like the one that I tried, at least I assume that's the goal....
Another example of a submission where I had to put the bio link in the body of the post rather than the dedicated field:
