RIP Aretha Franklin

If you've been following the news lately you probably saw this coming already but it's official now. Aretha Franklin has died at the age of 76

I'm so sad, she is one of my favorites.

She was fantastic. I was fortunate to unexpectedly walk past the Apollo a day or two after her death where people of different ages and races were paying tribute. Slate had a nice article on "Respect," calling it the greatest cover of all time.
