New member question

Hi, this is a GREAT website, and I'm thankful to be part of it. I added two covers that haven't posted yet. I assume there's a moderation process?

The covers I added are unusual for the fact that they are titled differently from the originals, and I saw no way that I could note that. The original is "The Little Boy And The Old Man" by Frankie Laine and Jimmy Boyd. The two covers are both called "Little Child" - one is by Eddie Albert and his daughter Sondra Lee, and the other by Cab Calloway and his six-year old daughter Lael.

I am hoping that if there is a moderation process that the moderator will not discount my additions due to the different titles.

Welcome.... While I'm sure that an editor will also likely reply, I will do so as well as a long time user/contributor.

First, it can sometimes take years for a submission to be reviewed and processed. Just checked, and my oldest unprocessed submission dates back to 2008-01-23 00:48:15 EST, though that one goes back before the current system was developed.

Second and as for your song title question, the submission form pre-fills the song title based on that of the covered work, but you can override with the actual title of the song being submitted. Different stylings and titles are not uncommon and shouldn't effect processing.

Hi Slimm,

you entered the songs as web covers. We use web covers for songs that are only available on YouTube.

When you click on Web Cover ---> Availability of cover, you should choose "for sale/commercially available", and then you'll be able to fill all the missing info (release, different titles, etc.)

Yes, it may take a while before a cover is processed...
