Sammy Davis Jr.

I Ain't Got Nobody and Nobody Cares for Me

Not sure what to make of this one. The work sure sounds like a derivative (if not a cover) of the well known "I Ain't", but the autogen notes have different writing credits. The notes also suggest a 1949 recording, but finding an original release (if there is one) for stuff this old is usually beyond me. Anyone?

I'm also looking at that The Way You Look Tonight

The work page that you linked to explains the issue with the composer credits.

I did some research on the recording... The 1949 date is when that recording was made for the Capitol label, but it didn't actually get released until 1965 when Pickwick International made a deal with Capitol to use their unreleased back catalog and launched the Pickwick/33 label to handle those recordings. One of the releases on that newly launched label was The Many Faces of Sammy Davis, Jr.. Oddly enough, the label on that recording does credit Warfield and Young.
