Another "Top 10" list by MoJo. Personally I consider myself above average in music knowledge (as a listener) but way less than average in the country genre. Oddly enough I think that puts me in a good position to judge the list. I figure that if a song is "top 10" then I should be familiar, if not then it hasn't seeped into the broader culture.
Some of these I don't know or are only barely familiar. Was also surprised that Riders in the Sky didn't even get an honorable mention, but perhaps there is no definitive performance to rank. On the other hand, I can't really argue with Ring of Fire being at #1.
