Adding a YouTube video (which apparently gets it lumped into "web covers") doesn't seem to allow the 'instrumentals' tag. Am I missing something?

Nice, thanks. Maybe it would be insteresting to add a similar feature to the dabatase statistics, so that one could see what the most covered instrumentals are.
Great idea. Meanwhile Mathieu added a filter, so here's the Top10 of most covered instrumentals:

Keep those great ideas coming dudek

Well, I am full of ideas when it comes to statistics
Next thing that came to my mind is adding a second field for "Year" (now there is just one). That way we would get an option to display the stats for any time span of our own choice: e. g. most covered songs of the new millennium (from 2000 to 2021) or most covered Dutch song from the seventies (from 1970 to 1979) and so on. It would enable many new exciting findings.
Anyway, this list of most popular instrumentals is cool, too.

It needs a little tweaking....
I saw Tar Paper Stomp Tar Paper Stomp as #32, excluding christmas songs. (which "Christmas" probably should be capitalized).
I was kinda curious because I never heard of that song. There are only 4 covers of that song.
Actually it is an adaptation of "In the Mood written by Joe Garland".
So "In the Mood" should be shown not "Tar Paper Stomp"
I am sure there are others like that, not sure if you can tweak that or if we have to go by a case to case basis.

It's not the stat that needs tweaking, it's the way the data are entered that needs to be validated.
In this particular case, CarlDennis set up In the Mood as a full adaptation of Tar Paper Stomp , hence the 260 versions of Tar Paper Stomp.
But perhaps you disagree, and you'd argue it should be a partial adaptation? If so, Tar Paper Stomp will disappear from the top of the chart in question.
If you'd like to challenge the adaptation relation, please create a specific error report.

dudek this is actually a SUPER idea, and we should find a generic solution for it that fits most queries. In the past, it happened to me a lot that I was looking for a query not based on "1963", but indeed based on "60s" = the time span for 1960 to 1969.
Please create a specific topic for this on the Ideas board so we can further develop it.
