Going through the album A Touch of Classic I found an English adaptation of Offenbach's "Barcarolle" called "Barcarolle (Night of Stars)". Looking up the lyrics, I determined that it was originally recorded by Charlotte Church on her 1999 self-titled album. However, after much searching, I was unable to find the lyricist. The liner notes for Charlotte Church's album only credit the original librettist, though some lyrics sites credit German conductor Emmerich Smola (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense). Can anyone help with this at all?
