Hello I'm Bryn Yemm

Trying to track down the original release for the album Hello I'm Bryn Yemm by Welsh singer Bryn Yemm. It's got at least two covers on it ("Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" and "Abergavenny"), but the only version I can find is apparently a reissue by Bay Records from 2011. Discogs lists a copy on Damont, but doesn't have any release date, and another site says it was originally issued on Unicorn Records (but again no release date or even a catalog number). Anyone able to help?

Hi Michael, I did not find any info of a release on a label called Unicorn. I did find some info on a Damont release.

https://americymru.net/bryn-yemm-music gives 1979 as the release date which probably is not correct since DMT3001 was released in 1978. So it would be strange if DMT3000 was released later.

So I think the correct date of release is probably 1977 or 1978. You could add one of the two years as "estimated".

Wasted Days and Wasted Nights is already in the database as it was released as a single in 1976.

Recorded in the summer of 1977.

So a 1977/1978 release would indeed be very likely.

Album is now on site. However, I can't find "Hurt Me All Over Again" in any PRO. I did find a song in GEMA called "You Hurt Me (All Over Again)" with Terry Skinner as one of the authors, but the other author is listed as Billy Lawson rather than J.L. Wallace. I don't know if this is the same song though. I also can't find any audio of the song - the original album is pretty obscure apparently and the song wasn't included on the 2011 reissue of Bryn Yemm's album.
