First one is an easy one:

Cover of Cowboy's Lament but better known as "Streets of Laredo"

Not entirely sure on the Silverstein work, but it sounds similar to "$100,000 in Pennies" by Bobby Bare:

Not that easy.

Apparently a song written in 1960 by Wayne Walker

Different words and a chorus were added in 1963 under the title "Only The Heartaches" with additional words by Jess Edwins and Terry Kennedy. It was a minor hit in the UK by Houston Wells and The Marksmen and has been recorded by many other artists. The chorus begins "There's gold in the mountains, gold in the valleys..."

So, Horsens Hardy's "Som en flod du må følge" is a Danish cover of Wayne Walker's "Only The Heartaches".

And there was also a German cover:

But all 3 are in fact an adaptation of Streets of Laredo / Cowboy's Lament

Brilliant.

That explains the credit for Wayne Walker on the Horsens Hardy album.

I have added the Hardy cover already with an acknowledgment of your help.

I will leave it to you to add "Only The Heartaches".

The Shel Silverstein cover in Icelandic is Put Another Log on the Fire.

I have 137 Bobby Bare recordings of Shel Silverstein songs but this is one which he did not record and I had forgotten that Silverstein wrote it.

Cannot find a video but just the 25 seconds on the Icelandic copyright site is clear.

Altzheimer setting in.

Wayne Walker wrote the song in 1960.

Original title: "Only The Hangman (Is Waiting For Me) " as recorded by Bobby Sykes

PS I will try to incorporate this information in the "Streets of Laredo" post on my website:

No wonder that Icelandic cover sounded familiar. I remember that song from its performance on The Muppet Show (before my time but I'm a big Muppets fan). Didn't realize it was a Silverstein song.
