Because notification are enabled in your account and sebcat has used the "mentioned" function like this Neilsson

I think camembert electrique also complained about these "double" emails. Do others find this equally annoying, or just a logic consequence of how the site works (reply + mention)?

Yes, I did complain - as long as I was getting multiple emails for the same post.

To avoid double emails in discussions, we may consider if 'mentioning' again and again is really necessary. This even more to the point in cases like the one i question - simply a dialogue.
