I'd like to review a few incomplete submissions I made when I "did not know what I know now" (not that I don't have a lot to learn still!). I've noticed two things: a) there's no edit button in those submissions 2) they don't show up in general searches, which makes me think they're in the "processed yet not published" limbo. TIA for any help!

Do they still show under the work?

In my view, until rejected, all submissions should show.

Agreed, how is a contributor supposed to complete an incomplete without an edit, other than a new comment.

The submission only appears in my list of submissions. Not if I search for it outside. I agree with you.

The only option appears to be "add a link", not even a comment.

Thank you, Jojo. You're looking at my "need info" submissions. I'm talking about processed submissions. There's no edit button there.

It may be a moot point now, because yesterday the processed submission I wanted to edit (Alone again by Nina Simone), which I had trouble finding yesterday in a general search, appeared percentually incomplete when I clicked on it among my Own Submissions, but this morning I noticed it just went from "processed" to "rejected" in my Own Submissions List, and I was able to find in a general search a published entry submitted by someone else with all the info I intended to add.

It's quite logical, if it is processed, no more editing is possible by a member... only an editor has the power to do so!

I understand, but because at least one of these were entries appeared as my own submission but I was not able to find via a general search AND they showed an incomplete completion bar, I assumed that it was in some unpublished limbo where I could still correct/add things for the approving editor to see. Make sense? (why they were not labeled "need info" when the processed entry did not show a 100% completion bar is something I still don't get)

Merci, Olivier... I only called it submission because it appeared under "own submissions". Is being a "web cover" the reason why I did not find it in a general search? I doubt it, although I'll never know as things stand now.

I have come a (relatively) long way since I incorrectly assumed the cover was "only web". I can only hope my detailed description of what a "regular user" sees on the "basic" side of things helps developers on the more complex other side for a smooth, minimum frills contributor experience.

Submission #148976

I see an entry was created and the submission shows as processed, but I can't open the submission and either see what the %52 is about (what's missing), or withdraw it because the entry is complete.

Is it because I should not be concerned with editing the submission and should just concentrate on looking at the published entry?

This question may sound stupid, but there are so many ways of viewing very similar information that I tend to get confused.

But I don't know where to click to even suggest missing info.

You can't for a submission already processed… the only way is to make an error report, If you have relevant information to add.

Also, there's no point in editing a processed submission.
