How to add covers from the original artist?

Hi

I have problems adding covers where the original artist makes a new recording of the same song. The system doesn't seem to allow that.

Two examples:

Jackie Edwards recorded Keep on running in 1965 as seen here: Keep On Running

But he also did a recording of the same song (but in reaggae-style) in 1976. I can't add it though.

Gloria Jones recorded Tainted Love in 1965 but she also did a slightly different version in 1976 on the album Vixen. This can't be added either.

Am I doing something wrong or...?

You’re not doing anything wrong. It’s just that we only permit one version of a song by an artist, except in a few rare cases, e.g. instrumental and vocal versions.
