Related artists

The database has undergone a redesign!

I've introduced the notion of 'related artists' to link for instance 'Prince' with 'The Artist formerly known as Prince', as they are in fact identical.

There's now also a similar system for records with multiple artists. Those are now recongized as one artist, but somehow related to the individual artists. As side effect, you can't directly click on the individual artists anymore.

If you find two related artists who arent referring to each other, let us know so we can fix it!

Isn't this a very old upgrade and thread that should be closed? If I read it correctly, we now have (e.g.) alias and related artist fields. This looks to me like an attempt from long ago to address site limitations that have long been addressed by better ways.
