I'm building a set list of covers to play round restaurants and bars and am looking for suggestions for some really cool covers to play.

The songs need to be with English spoken lyrics. At the moment I have a lot of 60s and 70s stuff, and whilst this is good as they are "classic" pop tunes, I'd quite like some other well known, more recent "classics" too.

Here's my list so far:

Yesterday, Hey Jude, Summertime, Your Song - Elton John, Imagine, Moondance - Van Morrison, Moanin' (standard), Wild World - Cat Stevens, You've got to hide your love away - beatles, Let it be, Nature Boy (standard), Layla - Clapton (unplugged version), Old Love - Clapton, Sitting on the dock of the bay, Mr. Tambourine Man, I heard it through the grapevine, Perfect Day, Allehuia - Jeff Buckley, Kind of Blue - Miles Davis, Rock around the clock - Elvis, Mary - Sissor Sistors, Time is a healer - Eva Cassidy.

I guess I should also mention It's just me and my piano playing them at the mo.

Anyway, any suggestions anyone has to offer to compliment this list will be most appreciated :O)

Have you looked at our list of most covered songs? There are a lot of classics in there.
