Awkward Release Setups

Seen a couple of these lately where the performing artist credits do not reconcile to me. An example: Elly og Vilhjálmur syngja jólalög

When a performance is solo, it's credited to the single artist; however, when the pair sing as a duo, they are treated as a separate entity instead of two performing artists;

Ég sá mömmu kyssa jólasvein

Hvít jól

Seems different than (e.g.) Alone Together if I'm seeing things correct.

If the release is by a duo, set up as separate band, it's indeed counterintuive to have individual performances attributed to only of them. A bit like there aren't any solo Art Garfunkel-attributed performances on Simon & Garfunkel releases.

Second, I would want a clear and objective rule to reference.

Third (and most importantly), this post was really only a courtesy to the editors to notice an observation. I currently ignore the vast majority of noticed errors these days (including earlier releases) due to not wanting to risk the hassle or invest the time, only reporting errors that I personally deem objectively material (e.g. wrong language or work) or of high personal benefit (e.g. lack of "live" tags). My notes are correct per my protocols and am unlikely to revisit the referenced artist in the foreseeable future. So in full disclosure, it's unlikely that I will report this matter on any specific entry.
