Just now I saw Walt's PM concerning a discussion about this subject.

Yes I was the person who wrote about RCA Victor matrix numbers as discussed https://secondhandsongs.com/topic/75011?offset=0#m192127.

But I wasn't the person who added the recording/ release dates to 45.cat.

Personally I am very cautious in using recording/ release dates from the "internet".

I am relying more on "paper" sources, like all the work of Brian Rust, the "king" of discographers.

So, Jon, I can give you an exact answer to your question about this release: http://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/36623

Brian Rust gives a June 5, 1942 recording date for Harry James' Columia-release (#36623).

Jon, as this is addressed to you, I've submitted a reply request to bring it to your attention.

Yep, thanks Jojo, Rust agrees with http://www.78discography.com/COL36500.htm (probably they have sources in common). But the question about that release was about the release date not the recording date. I believe the source for the release date on the 45cat page is the person who wrote about RCA Victor Matrix Numbers.
