I assume that it is generally accepted that to qualify for a vocal a tune must have lyrics - words that are sung or at least spoken.
The mere facts that there is a chorus humming in the background, someome scatting or shouting the title of the song once in a while, don't qualify for a vocal.
A good example is "Tequila" treated as an instrumental in SHS.
Now we get to "Salt Peanuts"
This theme was written by Dizzy Gillespie and Kenny Clarke with no lyrics. However in SHS there are two sections for this theme, both headed by the two authors.
One has five covers as vocals, the other 43 as instrumentals.
At first I assumed that in the first section there would be someone shouting Salt Peanuts now and then and in the other there would be no shouting. But I was wrong there are shouts on both sections.
To sum it up, I propose that the five vocals be moved to the instrumental section, being this considered as a collective error report.
