Flying Home cover by Lionel Hampton

I tried to add Lionel Hampton's important 1942 version of "Flying Home" (Decca #18394) to the list of instrumental versions; I guess I accidentally submitted it as a "web cover." The versions (and highlights) need to distinguish between the Victor 1940 recording by Hamp and the 1942 version here [ ] which has a famous sax solo by very young Illinois Jacquet.

We only allow one recording per work per artist on this site, with some exceptions, so if he recorded it in both 1940 and 1942, only the 1940 one will be allowed.

Jennifer Rennaker I’ve deleted the web version that you submitted by accident. So you can try again to re-submit with the 1940 version. If you mention the 1942 recording when you submit, the processing editor can add a comment to the performance.
