"P. Mantoris"

In 1976, South African artist Cornelia recorded a song called "Too Late to Say Goodbye", which was covered by Springbok. The label for the single credits it to "P. Mantoris", but I can't find the song in ISWC and Discogs doesn't bring up anyone with the name "Mantoris". Any idea who that is?

All I could do was find an identically titled song also released circa 1976 and by a German related artist:

That's likely the same song. The Springbok version appears on three different albums on Spotify (all compilation albums) and one of them shows a David Scott as the songwriter (the other two just have "-" instead).
