As the strange year that was 2020 comes to an end, we wanted to write to all editors, certified contributors and submitting users to thank you for your contributions to the project this year. We’ve achieved a huge amount as a team. Looking forward to more cover fun in 2021. Let us know if you have any particular priorities for next year, either on your own covers journey or for the project as a whole.

Woah, that's seriously impressive, Bastien . A 50% increase in page-views in the space of year, and a 22% increase in covers - wow. Well done to all involved in this important project.

We owe a major part of this increase to... COVID! I'm not joking.

You're forgetting casb Smile

Yes!! Don't You (Forget About Me) !!!! Happy

The problem I find in Google Argentina and Google in Spanish is that when I search for an artist or song there, SHS appears listed only on the second, third or fourth page of results. I think that has a lot to do with the low number of visitors who speak Spanish. In fact, usually whosampled is listed before SHS

I believe that a way must be found to spread SHS more widely in Spanish-speaking countries.

I agree. We are low in Spanish language adaptations, compared with, say, French, Dutch or German. Maybe you and dany can club together to increase the number in 2021?

In my experience I rarely (relatively) see SHS get returned in a Google search, 1st or 2nd page.

As for Spanish adaptions, I would guess that they are more common on site than French or German. A related discussion:

Spanish leads are likely the ones I've had to ignore most often due to the assigned editor being hostile and having no one designated who is receptive to Spanish leads. I've gone through my Spanish leads recipients faster than Spinal Tap through drummers.

Love these stats, thanks. The high percentage (of peeking) in Canada and Australia should earn us local new editors, no?

You’d think but so far not much from either.

We should probably translate our website to Spanish. That language is #1 on my list.

It depends. When I search for "Elton John Cover Songs", SecondHandSongs is the 4th result. Nina Simone, 2nd.
