Musical based on the James Barrie novel "Peter Pan". It was first performed at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco as part of a tryout run, and then ran for 152 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York from October 20, 1954; however, the production was cut short for a previously scheduled live television production of the musical.

The music was mostly written by Moose Charlap, with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh; however, the production which was originally staged for Edwin Lester's West Coast circuit, was revamped for Broadway and included some new songs with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by the team of Betty Comden and Adolph Green.

Both Mary Martin, for her role as Peter Pan, and Cyril Richards, for his role as Captain Hook, won Tony Awards in 1955. There have been several Broadway revivals of this musical.
