This Broadway show was staged at the Imperial Theatre from October 31, 1957 until August 11, 1959, with a six week layoff, running 555 performances. This show marked the Broadway debut of Lena Horne. Its first performance was the opening night of tryout run at the Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
