Carrie by Europe has always been close to our hearts. We grew up listening to Europe’s songs with tremendous amount of memories attached to each one of us. The Final Countdown was like a mantra and Carrie was the sweet spot for all us in love. This is a sincere @BenoyMusic's tribute to the awesome @europethebandtv for providing such beautiful contributions to the music fraternity.

▪️ Europe, the Band▪️
Formed in 1979, Europe as a band then, at the time of formation, comprised of Joey Tempest on vocals, John Norum on guitars, Peter Olsson on bass and Tony Reno on drums. They are a Swedish band who obtained a major break by winning the Swedish Rock Championships in 1982.
Europe hit the international peak of fame in 1986 with their third album, The Final Countdown which sold 15 million copies worldwide. Europe has released eleven studio albums, three live albums, three compilations and a ton of music videos. The latest known album is “Walk the Earth” (2017). Europe’s current members are Joey Tempest (lead vocals), John Norum (guitars), John Leven (bass), Mic Michaeli (keys) and Ian Haugland (drums).

Carrie song is a power ballad from the album The Final Countdown, which was the reason for their success. Carrie was released in 1987. Carrie is Europe’s highest charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking to #3 in the fall of 1987 and #1 on Radio and Records chart.
Europe's Carrie lyrics was written by Joey Tempest and Mic Michaeli in 1985, the early version just comprised of keyboards (piano) and vocals only. The final version of the song Carrie included all and the whole band was playing. Now there are numerous versions of Carrie acoustic, instrumental etc. covers done by people who simple love the band, Europe.
Who is Carrie? What does Europe Carrie lyrics mean? Well, we aren't sure as well, but in 2015 Europe vocalist Joey Tempest said in describing the inspiration, "We were young then, the normal breaking up and finding a new girlfriend. It was more of a general thing, actually."
