Who is Recess?
Recess is a pop/alternative group hailing from Cleveland, OH. Recess has been together since 2007, when lead singer Vincent Fondale met guitarist Alex Razzy at a local gig. After Anthony Fondale (Vincent's brother) joined on keyboards, they added a talented local drummer named Arslan Khan to round out the lineup. The rest is history. Through the growing pains of the music industry, Recess has impressed many around the world with their captivating live performances and powerful sound. The band has gained traction in Cleveland as a well known local band, with goals of becoming a worldwide touring group. The band's EP was recognized by Global Citizen via Twitter and they were invited to their offices in NYC (2019). They were on Season 2 of Topgolf’s “Who Will Rock You". They headlined Edgewater Live (Cleveland 2019). Recess has played the House of Blues (Cleveland 2018), the Cowan (Nashville, TN 2019), the Viper Room (Hollywood, CA 2019), and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland 2019) for the Bon Jovi induction ceremony. After 2 EP's, the last one coming in 2019, the band gears up for their 3rd studio EP, which Alex calls "The best music we have written thus far." As of recent, they performed a week long residency at Sandusky Ohio's Cedar Point, and were finalists for Goodyear's Garage to Glory competition in August of 2021.
