I’ve recently rediscovered my love for the Bee Gees, in a lot of ways they hold similarities to the Beach Boys, and their influence on music was amazing! Of course their harmonies are so beautiful and in sync and their songwriting covers many genres. And really, wow, how many hit songs did they write?! It’s incredible.

I love this song, Night Fever is good vibes all around. I’ve been putting on their upbeat ‘70s disco tunes when I’m working out and going for walks or drives, it’s an instant mood booster. I love the melody of this song, it’s so fun to sing. I had fun and went a little crazier than the original gentle falsetto. I thought about just keeping it as my piano cover that I do when I play solo but I decided it would be fun to make a little interpretation of my own with more instrumentation. The coolest thing to learn was the bass line, it’s all over and rhythmically just bad ass, I had to find a little tutorial on it and was just blown away!

Oldies is so close to my heart and The Beach Boys are my absolute favourite but I will say the Bee Gees also top my favourite artists of all time. What’s your favourite Bee Gees song? Do you have any fond memories listening to their sweet music?
