That year Rita won the festival's award, four years after she and the trio won the Great Prize of the Juan Les Pins Jazzfestival in France in 1960. This footage was broadcast on Dutch public TV News, during that time known as the Polygoon Journaal. The (complete) audio recording of this performance is part of the 2005 Dutch Jazz Archives CD 'Rita Reys - I Got Rhythm'.
Duke Ellington composed Sophisticated Lady in 1932 with Irving Mills. The words were added later by Mitchell Parish. It is still a well-known jazz standard. Other famous renditions are by Toots Thielemans, Blossom Dearie, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana Turner, Billie Holiday and Rosemary Clooney.
