- Collected in 1908 by Mrs Mary Davies in Whitchurch, Cardiff, from the singing of a woman who had heard it sung in 1828 by Thomas Elias (Y Bardd Coch), a travelling tailor. Published in the Journal of the Welsh Folk-Song Society.
