- This song was originally published by Savoy Music under the title "Pitter Patter." It was originally recorded by Nappy Brown and issued on Savoy 45-1162 with that title early June 1955. A short time later in June 1955 Edward B. Marks Music acquired this song from Savoy Music and retitled it "Piddily Patter Patter." Subsequent pressings of Savoy 45-1162 used the new title.
