- Due to a contract disagreement with Art Rupe, who claimed publishing rights to all songs written by Sam Cooke while under contract to Specialty Records, Cooke copyrighted songs under the names of various friends and family. Several, including "Win Your Love for Me," were initially credited to his younger brother, L.C. Cooke. Later it was registered under Sam Cooke's name.
