Appalachian dance tune collected by Cecil Sharp and first recorded as a banjo instrumental by Samantha Bumgarner in April 1924. In October 1926, The Hill Billies recorded the first lyrical version which they called "Blue Eyed Girl". The West Virginia Coon Hunters released a variant called "Blue Eyes Run Me Crazy" in 1927. There is a fiddle tune called "Suzanna Gal" (or "Susannah Gal") that has modified lyrics. Some of the early Appalachian variants were called "Little Betty Ann". There is a variant called "Fare You (Thee) Well, My Blue-Eyed Girl". The Iron Mountain String Band recorded a variant they called "Western Country" in 1973.

Not to be confused with Pretty Little Miss out in the Garden, as both versions can be called "My Pretty Little Miss" or "Pretty Little Miss".

Typical lyrics -
Fly around my pretty little miss
Fly around my daisy
Fly around my pretty little miss
You almost drive me crazy

The higher up the cherry tree
The riper grows the cherries
The more you hug and kiss the girls
The sooner they will marry
