It was recorded variously in cajun circles as 'Hackberry Hop' (1935) by Leo Soileau, 'T'as vole mon chapeau' (1934) by Breaux Freres and 'Ils la volet mon trancas' (1934) by Joseph Falcon, to name only a few.
