"Schwanengesang" (Swan song), D 957, is the title of a collection of songs written by Franz Schubert at the end of his life and published posthumously. It contains settings of three poets: Ludwig Rellstab, Heinrich Heine and Johann Gabriel Seidl. The collection was published in 1829 just a few months after the composer's death on November 19, 1828.
"Ständchen" (Leise flehen meine Lieder') or "Serenade" is no. 4 of the song cycle.
