- German folk song, which belongs to the classics of the "Stimungslieder" and was already known at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1836 Heinrich Wagner (1783-1863) added the already existing first verse by two more. The melody comes from an older folk song, that Friedrich Silcher (1789-1860) re-worked.
