The "Te Deum in D major H 146" is a polyphonic motet probably composed between 1688 and 1698.
The first part - Prelude (Marche en rondeau) - has often been used in popular culture. The instrumental prelude was chosen in 1954 as the theme music preceding the broadcasts of the European Broadcasting Union.
