Traditional song dating back to the mid-1600's also known as "The Twa Sisters", "The Berkshire Tragedy", "The Wind and the Rain", "The Bonny Swans", "The Wicked Sister" or "The Cruel Sister". It is first known to have appeared on a broadside in 1656 as "The Miller and the King's Daughter".
The lyrics can vary but the gist is there are two sisters, one of which is cruel and - because of jealousy over a man - pushes the other into the ocean to die. - Licensing
