aka "Chicken Pie" or "I Love Chicken Pie". Traditional fiddle tune first recorded by the Leake County Revelers in 1928. The New Lost City Ramblers reworked the Leake County Revelers' version in 1962. Ry Cooder recorded it in 1972 and changed the arrangement from a fiddle song to southern rock storytelling song (it was credited to a Lawrence Wilson on the album).
I went up on the mountain to give my horn a blow,
I thought I heard my true love say 'Yonder goes my beau.'
