- "Evening Star Waltz" is the Americanized name for Lanner's Abend-Sterne Walzer, Op. 180 and was published in 1841. The waltz tune known in the US as "Evening Star Waltz" became popular in the old-time genre as a fiddle tune, and can also be named "Evening Rainbow Waltz".
