aka "Uncle Sam and the Kaiser". One of many American patriotic songs involving Uncle Sam's G.I.'s taking on the Kaiser from Prussia in World War I. Henry Whitter recorded this song first on December 10, 1923, but only instrumentally. No credits for the tune were on Whitter's release. Ernest V. Stoneman recorded his lyrical version on May 27, 1925 with the same tune. Stoneman's release had no credits either. However, there is a 1918 song called "We'll Swat the Kaiser for Uncle Sam" written and composed by Alfred Danieux that is very similar so it's probable that the lyrics were arranged from Bertrand's song and possibly even the tune.
