- "Plaisir d'amour" was sung by Montgomery Clift in the 1949 US Paramount movie "The Heiress". Evans/Livingston immediately translated "Plaisir d'amour" into English and added additional verses. Their sheet music said "Inspired by the Paramount Picture "The Heiress", but their new English song wasn't featured in the movie. The new song was released by five different artists in late 1949. In 1961, Joan Baez released a French and English version of "Plaisir d'amour" containing portions Evans/Livingston's work.
