Song first recorded by the Clyde Evans Band on November 4, 1929. Clyde was a member of the Georgia Yellow Hammers and was accompanied by them (uncredited on the release), but this was essentially a Georgia Yellow Hammers recording. No songwriting credit was given on the 1930 Columbia single.
