'Rumble' went through a name change between composing and record release. It was originally copyrighted as “Odd Ball” with composing credits to Link’s dad Fred Wray, Sr. and defacto manager Milt Grant, even though that classic guitar riff was undoubtedly Link’s creation. Link supposedly wasn’t interested in the business side of things and for many years that was handled by his brother Vernon, with their dad Fred Sr. being credited as composer on many of Link’s later recordings.
