Dear contributors,

After submitting a cover song, when you hover the COMPLETENESS bar, the missing data to reach 100% are displayed:

The question is simple: Did you spot that? Yes/No

Thanks in advance for you participation Smile

PS: This thread is not about about how the completeness score works, please start a separate thread if you have comments on that subject.

I have, but mine never reaches 100%, for some reason the box were I add the sources never gets a green mark despite the fact that I do add the information.

I do get to 100% with web covers.

The user name I used to create my submissions is now invalid, as I used Discogs to log in and that account is deleted. Cannot add any details to original submission so using comments to add more info, unless someone can re-activate my original username.

Thanks for your answers ! Much appreciated !

5 users replied, only 1 had spotted the "Missing data" popup. 😬 Looks like we need to make this a little more obvious.

Keeping ticket Ticket #2983 in the loop (this is an internal link - don't worry if you can't access it).

Pencho15 : Feel free to start a separate thread with an example of an unexplained score

Hi,

As requested I started the topic here: https://secondhandsongs.com/topic/77043

I'm surprised no one else noticed the bar, in my opinion it is quite visible and it appears immediatly when you start submiting.

Maybe users that have been submitting longer are so used to the interfase they didn't saw the change.

No. I've never seen the missing data image.

I do not see it too. Anyway it's impossible to me to have a 100% entry when Spotify link if required even if a youtube clip was linked and when a code # is required for old releases that had no barcode

Do you mean releases without a cat number?

Ok, thanks for the feedback. 5 out of 6 contributors didn't spot it, we need to work on its visualization Smile

Rockin Bill would you mind providing a concrete example of submission where this happened?

I had the same confussion, but while a submission may appear without a 100% when you submit it, you can later check and find it is indeed in a 100% if you check your submissions.

Spotify link is not required even if it appears to be.

Mathieu my impression is that Pencho15 is right: Supplying a Spotify link or not does not affect the Completeness score. Something we better adjust I guess?

Just to make sure everyone remembers.... I believe this has been discussed earlier, specifically that no rating indicates less than 100% but is then ignored after actually submitting. Is this the "problem"?

The problem, which is confusing for people is that the completeness bar is different in the submission form before submitting and in the cover submission entry after sending it for review.

I attach two screenshots of one of my last submission from Good King Wenceslas by William Shatner.

If I click on edit and move to the bottom of the page, I see the bar like the first image, with a completeness of 82%. There is a field left without a green mark and that's the reason why it can't reach 100%.

However (and without changing anything), if I look at the cover submission after sending it I see a bar like in the second image, showing 100%, meaning all required fields are there. And those I couldn't fill while submitting weren't necessary.

The first bar, while we are submitting, is the one that most people notice, and thus the fact that it doesn't reach 100% makes you feel like something is missing.

The second bar is probably unknown to many users, I myself was unaware of it until Sebcat let me knew about it in another post.

Know, I don't worry about the first bar, as I know exactly what I need to submit, but both bars should probably show the same info.
