Pianist, conductor, arranger, composer and producer born in Minnesota and raised in Iowa. He was with Victor (1923-1931) where he eventually ran their West Coast operations. In 1931 he moved to Chicago where was musical director of NBC's Chicago division until 1945. From 1945 until he retired in 1955 he was orchestra manager for NBC New York.
